Just in time for flu season, Apartment Therapy has a great list of items to keep on hand for when you're taken sick. After all, schlepping to the drugstore or the supermarket is the the last thing you want to do when you or a family member is ill. I always keep chicken soup and herbal tea in my pantry- what are your must haves?

The examples from the article are great. I'd add plenty of tissues--I just stocked up at Costco today--as well as saltine crackers, and canned ginger ale. The latter two should be consumed within 6 months of purchase, you can always re-stock when feeling better. This time of year, Costco also prominently displays things like Nyquil and other OTC meds. "Bendy" straws for consumption of fluids doesn't hurt, and even if you're not usually a juice drinker, perhaps keeping some juice concentrate in the freezer would be the way to go in order to continue fluid intake.
I'm a fan of high doses of chewable vitamin C tablets when I start to feel a little something coming on.
We always have Emergen-C (or the store brand) and zinc around here, so as to hopefully nip things in the bud.
Oh, I forgot! My tea basket always has some Stash Lemon Ginger and Celestial Seasonings Peppermint for nausea/upset tummies. I also keep lemon, honey, and whiskey around for bedtime hot toddies.
